LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ About 50 members of a special Nebraska Army National Guard agricultural team are headed to Afghanistan. The team is made up of soldiers from across Nebraska. The soldiers will help farmers in north-Central Afghan provinces by conducting agricultural development planning, assessments and support. The goal of the mission is to expand legal agriculture and reduce rural poverty. A farewell ceremony will be held Monday in Lincoln. The team then heads to Camp Atterbury, Ind., before deploying to Afghanistan later this fall.
