Those who attended the KNEB Farm & Ranch Expo over the weekend were treated to memorabilia that fair employees discovered by chance last week rummaging through items upstairs at the Events Center. Scotts Bluff County Fair Manager Lanna Hubbard says posters, programs and pictures of orchestra bands, performers, and other events including horse racing indicate that the fairgrounds was the center for Scotts Bluff County entertainment from the early 1900's through the 60's.

Pictures of Lawrence Welk and Louis Armstrong are among the items found. Hubbard says they also found the original blueprints of Sanford Hall, which was much bigger than the current hall before it burned down. Hubbard says there was such great response at the Expo that she's hoping there are people who can help organize and preserve the items for display.

If you would like to help, give Lanna a call at the Events Center.
