Keith County Sherriff's candiate arrested for DUI

OGALLALA, Neb. (AP) _ A candidate for sheriff in western Nebraska has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.
The Nebraska State Patrol says Jeff Stevens was pulled over for speeding Friday night on U.S. Highway 30 in Ogallala. The trooper says Stevens smelled of alcohol, so a sobriety test was administered, and Stevens failed.
The patrol says Stevens was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and taken to Keith County jail.
The incumbent Sheriff is Kevin Mueller.
