Ag Education in Cozad
Posted by Adam on Nov 17 at 05:59 PM

A committee has been formed to see if there is interest in having Agriculture Education classes and FFA offered through Cozad High School.  As a former FFA member, I strongly support the cause.  I actually even when to school to be an Ag instructor prior to settling into radio.

FFA opens so many doors.  Ag Education developes our future leaders.  If you are a Cozad parent, please contact one of these people and show your support.  The committee needs to show that there is enough support in the community by December 2nd.

Harvest Break
Posted by Adam on Nov 11 at 09:49 PM

Barb Margritz and I delivered a KRVN Harvest Break to the Tucker Thompson farm northeast of Eustis on a cold windy Thursday. There wasn't a lot of field work being done, but we did give the crew to take a break from grinding some hay. The Thompson's run a diversified operation consisting of corn, hogs, and cattle. I hope they enjoyed their KRVN Harvest Break as much as we enjoyed bringing it to them.

If it were left to movie fans to choose a president, Harrison Ford would be the winner. That's the word from an AOL Moviefone.com poll that asked moviegoers to choose their favorite movie president. The top 10 movie presidents who Americans would vote into office in real life:
1.    Harrison Ford, "Air Force One" (1997)
2.    Morgan Freeman, "Deep Impact" (1998)
3.    Michael Douglas, "The American President" (1995)
4.    Bill Pullman, "Independence Day" (1996)
5.    Kevin Kline, "Dave" (1993)
6.    Dennis Quaid, "American Dreamz" (2006)
7.    Bruce Greenwood, "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" (2003)
8.    James Cromwell, "The Sum of All Fears" (2002)
9.    Jack Nicholson, "Mars Attacks" (1996)
10.    Jeff Bridges, "The Contender" (2000)

He landed a cool part-time job at a Lincoln, NE radio station while going to college with intentions of becoming an ag teacher. As they say, the rest is history! After graduating from UNL, Adam worked for stations in Central City and Columbus before coming to work for KRVN. Adam loves living and working in Nebraska! He also enjoys riding horses and helping out on the family ranch.
